Manchester United dragged the deal to sign Jadon Sancho last year to an extent that eventually it collapsed and the player ended up staying with Borussia Dortmund.
As per the latest updates, the Red Devils are once again wasting time while trying to agree a fee with the German club. This should be infuriating for the United faithful.
Transfer: Offer made – Man Utd told £80million would get signing done
According to The Daily Mirror (press image provided below), Man Utd have already secured a contract that will make Sancho earn £250,000-a-week, £65million in the next five years.
However, the 20-time English champions have still not managed to agree a fee with BvB. Last year, the asking price was £100million but this time around, the Bundesliga side have dropped the price and are looking to get £80million.
The Premier League giants are still looking for a discount. It is stated that Man Utd are prepared to agree a fee worth £60million to sign the England international. The clubs are still in talks but there is a significant difference in the valuations and therefore, the transfer saga continues to drag.
As per a report covered by Manchester Evening News yesterday, a bid in the region of £75million would likely be enough to reach an agreement with Dortmund for Sancho.
The 21-year-old scored and created goals for fun in the last three seasons in Germany and currently, he is with England at the Euros. In the first contest vs Croatia, the youngster did not even make the squad and in the second group game vs Scotland, he warmed the bench as an unused substitute.
