Manchester United continue to be linked with Leicester City star Harry Maguire and the latest update seem very positive for the Red Devils.
This transfer saga has taken a lot of twists:
On 26th June, Mirror Sport claimed that the Red Devils left the race to sign the center back due to the Foxes’ huge demands.
On 2nd July, Mirror Sport reported that the Old Trafford club made an offer of £70million for the former Hull City man. However, the player reportedly wanted a move to Man City to play in the Champions League next season.
Transfer: Report – Man Utd ready to bid to sign £107million star
On 6th July, The Sun exclusively revealed that the Sky Blues are no longer looking to sign in the England international and United have a clear path to hire his services from Leicester City, who want a fee of £85million for their prized asset.
Now, as per the latest update provided by Goal.com yesterday, the 26-year-old is flattered by United’s interest and is ready to move to Old Trafford.
Maguire was impressive for the Three Lions at the World Cup 2018 and also for Leicester City in the last campaign. He commanded the Foxes’ back-line, that conceded 48 goals in the PL, 6 goals fewer than Manchester United.
Apart from being a strong central defender, the England international is a threat in the attacking third as well. He scored three goals in all competitions last season.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has got more than a few central defenders at his disposal but the Norwegian boss does not have a defensive leader and he badly needs to lure one this summer.
If United do end up spending £85million to secure the signing of Maguire, then he will become the most expensive defender ever.
Why is there too much confusion at man utd fc in terms of transfers?? Other teams you will just so and so has signed for and so team but this united administration is quite fake and useless. This is not an inflated market,it looks so because you are banker just counting money regardless of where it is coming and how it made. We had David Gill and at that time, every player who was linked to Man utd definitely be be landed. Nowadays man utd would struggle to even get a player from a championship club!! Its laughable thing. At David Moyes it was rebuilding the team, Louis Van Gaal rebuilding the team, Jose Mourinho rebuilding the team and Ole its rebuilding!! Is this team dwarfed or will it ever grow getting back to its glory days I don’t its far from happening!! Unless the administration is changed it will never be the Manchester united we knew!!! Already time is flying no center looks being landed, no box to box midfielders looks to be looks to be landed, no striker who can turn dead balls into great goals looks anywhere near. Lets wait and see because even Ole S will not complete next season as a Manchester united manager trust…. Already man city is better than man utd in terms of valuables.. What a disgruntled team to watch!!!?? Trust me even next season to watch man utd you need a 10kg of paracetamol and a 40lt of water to easy your pain.???
Glazers are fleecing the Club dry even as the Club struggles to buy players of average worth and ability. Why don’t the Glazers open the coffers to buy players of good standard. Ed Woodward will not get Bruno or Macquire or better players like the ones Arsenal and other clubs have been buying for lesser money. The Glazers and Woodward should not have anything to do with the Club if they don’t have pride in the Club and want want to see its worth drop – £1+billion this time around; by how much next year, Shylocks?
