Agent due to hold talks in Milan for top Manchester United target

Manchester United are still in the hunt to sign Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic with agent Fali Ramadani due to fly to Italy to hold talks over his client’s future. The Croatia international has been linked with a Red Devils move since the end of last season, but there has been no breakthrough in terms of the transfer.

According to Calciomercato, Ramadani will hold crunch discussions with the Nerazzurri hierarchy in the next 24 hours as he looks to find a solution for his client. Manager Luciano Spalletti has repeatedly iterated that the attacker is determined to stay in Milan, and the meeting will provide a clear conclusion whether United stand any chance of landing the winger.

Manchester United are reported to have failed with multiple bids for the highly-experienced forward with their latest offer of £39m still falling short of the Nerazzurri’s £48m asking price. The San Siro outfit have also discussed the possibility of loaning out Anthony Martial for the season to lower their valuation, but Jose Mourinho has no desire to part ways with his promising forward.

Summer signings Romelu Lukaku and Nemanja Matic played crucial roles in the 4-0 triumph over West Ham United last weekend while Victor Lindelof has been sidelined from the first-team duties until he manages to cope with the pace of the English game.
