The Erik ten Hag era at Manchester United is over and there have been encouraging signs in the two games since, with interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy masterminding his team to a 5-2 win over Leicester City and a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
The Red Devils have shown encouraging signs that new manager Ruben Amorim would be having a look at.

The press has been so much more cohesive and players like Casemiro look much better than he did under Erik ten Hag.
A new manager always comes in with new ideas and it won’t be a surprise should the Portuguese coach want to bring his own set of players to the club. As per Caught Offside, Amorim is willing to sign talented playmaker, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, for Man United.
The Georgian winger has widely been regarded as one of the most exciting wide players going around, for the better part of the last three seasons. The performances have been right up there with some of the very best in the world.
Khvicha’s game is much more than that of just a winger. He is a creative force to reckon with and is an expert at providing assists to strikers ahead of him, like Victor Osimhen for the past couple of seasons and Romelu Lukaku now.
Valued at around £90m by the Italian giants, if Man United and Amorim want to sign Kvaratskhelia, it surely will not be a straightforward operation. He is a top talent and Napoli, who are leading the Serie A, understand this better than anyone else.
Signing Khvicha, who prefers to play on the left as a replacement for Antony doesn’t make much sense on paper. Man Utd already face the problem of two of their best wingers – Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho both wanting to play on the left.
Thus, despite the obvious upsides to the transfer, Man Utd are better off focussing their efforts on a natural left-footed right winger. That is what the squad is crying out for at the moment and let’s wait and see how it plays out.
