Manchester United have been heavily linked with Portuguese international, Goncalo Inacio, and the latest reports indicate an interesting deal can be reached to sign the defender from Sporting CP.
A few days back, we covered a story (via Record) claiming the 22-year-old star will only be sold by the Lions in January if the release clause of £51.6m (60 m euros) is met.
Transfer: Offer made – Man Utd prepared to sign £50million star
Yesterday, renowned Spanish outlet, AS, revealed (news image provided below) that the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester United are in the race to sign Inacio.
The Madrid based news source have mentioned that Sporting would like the clause to be activated but have made the suitors aware they are flexible.
The 60 million clause is acceptable in installments.
It is reported that an initial bid worth £38.8m (45 million euros) would be accepted by the Primiera Liga giants. The remaining £12.8m (15 million euros) can be paid in easily achievable objectives.
Erik ten Hag signed Lisandro Martinez and Tyrell Malacia to reinforce the defense last year and the duo have spent majority of the time on the treatment table this season.
On the other hand, the likes of Maguire, Varane and Lindelof have been inconsistent in the center back positions.
Therefore, United need a strong center half to strengthen the department in the winter transfer window and Inacio is a quality talent.
In your view should Man Utd submit an initial bid worth £38.8m to sign Goncalo Inacio next month?
