Big Claim: Manager drops ‘major hint’ on Man United’s move for 45-goal winger

Former Leicester City manager Claudio Ranieri has dropped a massive hint that Lucas Moura could be on his way to Old Trafford this month. The Brazil international is said to be leaning towards a move to Manchester United desperate receiving plenty of interest from the French Ligue 1.

Speaking to French outlet Le Parisien, Nantes boss Ranieri gave up on the potential signing of Moura by suggesting the the Brazilian has snubbed their advances for a move to a fresh league, he said: “He’s a high-class player, and with us he could have played in a league he knows instead of being a PSG substitute or going to another country. He would have been available right now and could have six months away from the World Cup. But he made another choice. Never mind.”

A recent report has suggested that Moura has already finalised personal terms with the Red Devils, but it appears that Manchester United would rather prefer a temporary move than buying him outright for £35m. Jose Mourinho’s side have also made decent progress in the pursuit of Arsenal contract rebel Alexis Sanchez, and there could potentially be two new additions in the wide positions to enhance the club’s chances of securing silverware this term.
