Blow for Man Utd as £69million target agrees deal to move elsewhere – Report

Goncalo Ramos - Portugal

Manchester United have been chasing Portuguese international and Benfica center forward, Goncalo Ramos, for a long time.

Back in June, the Red Devils were actually in pole position to hire the services of the Eagles striker.

However, the latest reports indicate the Seleccao star has now agreed a deal to move to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Le Parisien, the French champions have reached an agreement with the 22-year-old forward and now need to secure a fee with the Primeira Liga champions.

The news source have mentioned that Benfica are demanding a fee of £69million (80 million euros) to let Goncalo Ramos leave in the current transfer window.

It must be remembered that Man Utd have agreed a much more expensive deal to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta.

The Danish center forward only scored 9 goals in the Serie A in the last campaign. On the other hand, Ramos netted 19 goals in the league to help the Lisbon club win the Liga Nos.

Moreover, the 7-capped international also proved his worth at the FIFA World Cup as he netted a sublime hat-trick in the R16 against Switzerland.

In the past few transfer windows, we have lost legendary goal scorers like Edinson Cavani and Cristiano Ronaldo. To replace the duo, only the signing of an inexperienced and unproven striker like Hojlund would not be enough.

Now that Ramos has agreed to join PSG, in your view, who should Erik ten Hag lure to further strengthen the strike force at Old Trafford?
