The renowned news outlet claim that Man Utd will officially pay the exit clause to sign Zirkzee from Bologna.
GdS state:
“In the next few hours, perhaps already today, the clearance sheet will officially arrive for Zirkzee towards Manchester United. The English club will pay the clause for the attacker involved in the European Championship, and at this point Bologna will collect 24 million euros (£20million).”
As widely known in the media, the release clause in Zirkzee’s contract is worth 40 million euros (£34million).
However, once the fee is paid by Man Utd, Bologna will only get £20million because the remaining amount will go to his former club, Bayern Munich.
The Bavarians included a 40% sell-on clause in the deal when Zirkzee was sold to the the Serie A side for a fee of just 8.5 million euros.
If reports are to be believed then it is now a matter of when and not if Joshua Zirkzee will be the new Man Utd signing.
