To cover the subject, the Rome based news source stated “Bye Bye Hojlund”.
CorSport reveal that during the week, the representatives of the Serie A side and the Old Trafford club held a new meeting knowing the player wants to join Erik ten Hag.
Atalanta are now ‘awaiting the relaunch’ of the Premier League side close to the asking fee of £52m-£61m (60-70 million euros without bonuses) to complete the sale.
It has been confirmed that French champions, Paris Saint-Germain, are seriously interested in signing Hojlund and have even made contact with the forward’s family.
However, the 20-year-old has made it clear Man United are his ‘first and undisputed’ choice. His strong stance would surely delight the Old Trafford faithful.
To replace the young goal scorer, Atalanta’s first choice is to lure Mali international and Almeria striker, El Bilal Toure.
Man Utd will face Wolves on August 15 to start their new Premier League campaign and should look to bring in Hojlund well in time so he is ready for the fixture.
