Amrabat Fiorentina

Manchester United’s search for a quality play breaker continues and the name of Sofyan Amrabat is consistently linked with them.

According to Santi Aouna, Man Utd have submitted their first verbal offer to the agent of the Morrocan international.

Transfer: Blow for Man Utd as Liverpool close in on signing £34.6million target – Report

The Foot Mercato journalist claims for now, the 26-year-old defensive midfielder is dreaming about moving to the Spanish La Liga.

His preference was to move to Barcelona but the Catalan giants do not have the funds to meet Fiorentina’s asking price for his signature.

Recently, Italian news source, La Gazzetta Dello Sport, revealed the Viola want a maximum fee of 35 million euros (£30.3million) to offload Amrabat this summer.

Man United boss, Erik ten Hag, was the manager who gave the African star his breakthrough years in Europe at Utrecht.

Now, he is one of the best holding midfield players in the world and in his peak years, I think the asking fee of £30.3million is not big.

It must be remembered that the Red Devils splashed £70million to lure Casemiro who is past his prime and will turn 32 in February 2024.

Amrabat was one of the best players at the FIFA World Cup and without him Morocco would not have reached the last four.

In your view, should Man Utd agree a fee worth £30.3million to secure his signing?
