Report – £300,000 a week star willing to agree move to Manchester United

Describing a player ‘out-of-favor’ is usually an easy category. A manager either rates a player or he doesn’t. Thus, more often than not, he either gives that player a lot of prominence or hardly gives him any game time.

However, how do you categorize a player who his manager seems to rate but only starts in UEFA Conference League games and is not given many minutes in the Premier League?

Considering the talent the player possesses, we will take the liberty of categorizing him as ‘out-of-favor’.

Just a couple of days ago, we covered a story about Manchester United plotting a shock move for Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku. The Frenchman finds himself in the aforementioned uncomfortable scenario under Enzo Maresca.

When you factor in that Nkunku has scored more goals than any other player in the Chelsea squad so far this season, Maresca’s decision looks even more baffling. Now, as per Football Insider, the 27-year-old would be willing to secure a transfer to Manchester United.

On paper, Nkunku seems like the perfect forward to play in Amorim’s 3-4-3 system, which he used at Sporting. Capable of playing anywhere in that front three, this tactical setup could unlock the Frenchman and bring back his RB Leipzig version.

The FI report claims that the player is currently unhappy with his situation at Chelsea. Christopher Nkunku earns a hefty £300,000 a week at Stamford Bridge and if he wants to move to Manchester United, one would assume that he has to take a wage cut.

Chelsea are wasting the immense talent that Nkunku has. Moving to United would be the perfect solution and let’s see if they can get a favorable deal done for him.
