Club ready to sell £86million star to Manchester United – Report

Varane-France

Manchester United have been trying to lure Raphael Varane for quite some time and it seems their wish might finally be fulfilled in the summer.

According to a report covered by Manchester Evening News, Real Madrid are ready to sell the French international to Man Utd.

Transfer: Man United willing to agree over £43million fee to secure key signing – Report

The renowned outlet have claimed that the Los Blancos have so far failed to agree a new contract with the Les Bleus center half and instead of losing him for free in 2022, they are prepared to offload him this summer.

Varane has won every major prize multiple times with Real Madrid and he was one of the most important members of the squad that won the World Cup with France in Russia.

MEN claim that the Red Devils were prepared to pay £100million in 2018 but back then, he was valued at way more than that.

It is stated that even Alex Ferguson tried to bring him to Old Trafford but the Frenchman left Lens to join the Spanish giants when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the La Liga side.

As per recent reports covered in the Spanish media (Mundo Deportivo), the 13-time European Champions are hoping to sell their prized asset for a fee of 100 million euros (£86million) in the summer.

Man Utd splashed £80million to make Harry Maguire the most expensive defender in the world. Should they break that record this time to secure the signing of Raphael Varane? We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming months.

  1. Hemmmm at the moment we haven’t got £86m in our coffers to spend! Come off it, I never trust news from Real Madrid or any of their players. He doesn’t want to leave, they really don’t want to sell, it’s just a case of finding a deal. United better off looking elsewhere, let’s not get messed around again. I remember Ramos
