Confident Man Utd ready to agree £20.8million a year deal with OT star – report

Blaise Matuidi and Paul Pogba for France

Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba will be out of contract in just 9 months and it will be a shock if the Red Devils let him leave for free for the second time in his career.

The French international is a major asset and a new deal must be offered to him. Reports in the media suggest that Man Utd are ready to agree him a bumper new deal to extend his stay at Old Trafford.

Transfer: Man Utd told £51million would get signing done – Could offer £108,000-a-week star

According to an exclusive story covered by The Sun, Man Utd have been in contact with super agent Mino Raiola and are prepared to offer his client a massive contract worth £20.8million a year, £400,000 a week, to keep him at the club.

The famous British news source have mentioned that the 20-time English champions are confident that they will be able to agree fresh terms with Pogba despite interest from top European clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain.

At the moment, the Les Bleus midfielder is earning a salary of around £290,000 a week (The Mail). So, a £400,000-a-week deal should be tempting but PSG can possibly offer him way more if he joins them for free next summer.

In the current campaign, so far, the 28-year-old ex Juventus star has started 6 games in the Premier League and has provided 7 assists.

Surprisingly, he only featured for 20 minutes as a substitute against Everton yesterday. The 87-capped World Cup winning man is one of the best midfielders in the world.

In your opinion, does he deserve to get a deal worth £20.8million a year?
