Man Utd told £51million would get signing done – Could offer £108,000-a-week star

Koulibaly and Skriniar

Manchester United splashed the cash to lure a world class defender in the form of Raphael Varane in the summer transfer window.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are linked with another top quality cente half in the form of Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar.

Transfer: Man Utd backed to agree ‘unbelievable’ signing of £203,000-a-week star

According to a report covered by Inter Live, Man Utd could move in to hire the services of the Slovakian international in the winter transfer window and they could even offer Donny van de Beek to the Nerazzurri.

The £108,000-a-week (The Mail) Dutch international joined the Old Trafford outfit last year and was mainly a bench warmer in the last campaign. Even this term, so far, he has mostly been outside of the starting XI.

Skriniar is one of the best center backs in the Serie A and last season, he was brilliant in Inter Milan’s title winning campaign under the management of Antonio Conte.

Inter Live have claimed that the 26-year-old remains a key member under Inazghi and will not be sold this season unless the Serie A champions receive a cash offer of 60 million euros (£51million).

Skriniar’s current contract with the Italian club will expire in less than 2 years, therefore, the above-mentioned price seems a bit high.

Nevertheless, Man Utd do not need a central defender because they already have the likes of Varane, Lindelof, Bailly and captain Maguire. Ole should spend cash to improve the midfield department in January. What do you think?
