Manchester United remain interested in hiring the services of Ousmane Dembele on a free transfer next summer and the latest reports are interesting.

Last week, Mundo Deportivo revealed that the Red Devils have offered the Frenchman a lucrative contract and signing on bonus to move to Old Trafford.

Transfer: Man Utd want priority signing of £33million star in January – Report

More recently, yesterday, the Spanish news outlet (press image provide below) have mentioned that Barcelona have offered him a fresh deal to stay at the Nou Camp, however, the attacker is hesitating in accepting the terms due to the pressure put on him by his agent.

In such a scenario, the Catalan giants are frustrated and have told Dembele that he has 15 days to accept the proposed contract. On the other hand, Man Utd are positioned to get his signing done for free.

MD claim that the agent is pressing his client to stay at Barca for the remainder of the season without penning a new deal in order to earn a better deal elsewhere next summer.

Injuries have mainly hampered the progress of the 24-year-old star, who joined Barcelona to replace Neymar in the summer transfer window of 2017.

In the current campaign, the £10million a year (Marca) player has only featured for 73 minutes in all competitions so far (3 appearances) and has spent majority of the time on the treatment table. Therefore, in my view, Man Utd should stay away from Ousmane Dembele, who is rarely available.
