Earlier in the day, Manchester United announced the signing of Brazilian attacker, Antony, from Ajax.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils have now agreed a deal to offload an attacker from Old Trafford.
According to Manchester Evening News, Birmingham City have agreed a deal with the Red Devils to sign Dutch playmaker, Tahith Chong.
The news source have mentioned that the 22-year-old starlet will sign a five-year contract with the Blues, who are struggling in the Championship at the moment.
Chong moved to Man United from Eredivisie side, Feyenoord, and was considered to be a promising talent.
Two years ago, under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the youngster, who can play in multiple offensive positions, was handed a new contract worth £30,000 a week (The Sun).
However, he is now leaving the 20-time English champions without starting a single game in the Premier League. Overall, Chong has featured in 16 games for United’s senior side and provided 2 assists.
Last term, he played on loan for Birmingham, started 18 games in the Championship, scored a goal and provided three assists.
The Blues, who are currently 22nd in the table after 7 games, were impressed and that is why they have moved in to agree a deal, which is expected to be completed before the end of today’s transfer deadline.
