Manchester United have been linked with Crystal Palace star Aaron Wan-Bissaka for quite some time and the latest reports strongly suggest that he is close to moving to Old Trafford.

Yesterday, renowned journalist, Duncan Castles, covered a report (The Daily Record) and claimed that the Red Devils are set to capture the England international after agreeing a fee worth £55million fee with the Eagles.

Today, The Mail have claimed that Man United are set to secure £60million signing of the full-back and the deal is expected to go through in the coming days.

Since the retirement of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson, the one position that United have not adequately reinforced in their back-line is the right back position.

For the left back role, the Red Devils lured Luke Shaw back in 2014 and the England international was able to establish his position in the first team in the last campaign. He deservedly won the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award.

To strengthen the central defense, United have signed several stars over the years. Van Gaal lured the likes of Blind and Rojo and Mourinho signed Bailly and Lindelof. Not to forget, Jones and Smalling have worked under Ferguson and they are still at Old Trafford

In the right back position, United have mainly utilized natural wingers in the form of Valencia and Young and the two veterans are now past their best. Mourinho did lure Diogo Dalot last year but the young Portuguese international rarely started and needs more experience to become a regular starter.

Therefore, Solskjaer is doing the right thing by chasing a top natural right back in the form of Aaron Wan-Bissaka, who had a solid campaign for the Ealges last term.

Do you think that the 21-year-old full-back is good enough to improve United’s defense?
