The renowned news source have mentioned that after getting multiple bids rejected, the Red Devils are now on the verge of reaching an agreement with Ajax for the transfer of the South American star.
As per Dutch journalist, Bart Sanders, Antony is ‘sold’. Even Fabrizio Romano has confirmed the deal is complete.
The Samba star has been pushing to leave the Dutch champions to re-unite with Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford and his wish will befulfilled.
He mainly plays on the right flank, so we can expect the 22-year-old to start in his preferred position in Ten Hag’s 4-2-3-1 system. Jadon Sancho could line up on the left wing.
Antony was part of the Brazil squad that won the Olympics last year. For the senior national side, thus far, he has earned 9-caps (2 starts), scored 2 goals and provided as many assists.
After a dismal start to the new campaign, United have won back-to-back games in the Premier League and the arrival of the former Sao Paulo winger will strengthen the squad.
The Old Trafford outfit will collide against Leicester on Thursday night and it remains to be seen whether we can complete all the formalities in time to make the player available vs the Foxes.
Will he be a hit in the Premier League, we sure hope so.
