Manchester United have been linked with French international and AS Monaco center half, Axel Disasi, for some time and the latest reports suggest they are close to signing him.
Back in January, the Red Devils were in talks (The Mail) to hire the Les Bleus defender but he ended up staying with the Ligue 1 side.
Now, L’Equipe have revealed that the Old Trafford club are one step away from signing Disasi in the summer transfer window.
The renowned French media outlet have mentioned that Monaco are prepared to sell their prized and could demand as low as £34million (40 million euros).
It is reported the player’s preference is to move to Old Trafford and Man Utd are pressing to finally get the deal done.
In the recently concluded season, the 25-year-old star made 49 appearances for the Rouges et blancs and helped them keep 10 clean sheets.
Moreover, the former Stade Reims player even managed to directly contribute in 10 goals. He found the net 6 times and provided 4 assists.
Disasi is not the only center back on Man Utd’s radar. The 20-time English champions are also closing in to sign Kim Min-Jae from Italian champions, Napoli.
At the moment, Erik ten Hag has central defenders like Martinez, Varane, Maguire and Lindelof at his disposal.
In your view, do Man Utd really need to bring in two center backs in the summer transfer window? Should they bid £34million to lure Axel Disasi?
