Deal close – Man Utd ready to secure signing of £49million star

Donny van de Beek Netherlands

Manchester United have been looking at Jack Grealish to improve their attack but now the name of Donny van de Beek is in the lime light again.

If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd are close to luring the Dutch international (Oriol Domenech).

Transfer: Man United came close, told £27million+ would get signing done

According to Mirror Sport, Man Utd are leading the race and Solskjaer is ready to secure the signing of the Ajax star, who has told that he will not play for the Eredivisie giants again.

The renowned British news source have mentioned that the Red Devils expect to seal the capture for a fee worth £40million and the deal could only be hampered if Real or Barca move in to sign him.

However, the Catalan giants are in a disaster and Madrid have already backed off from the move to sign Van de Beek. ESPN have also reported that the Old Trafford outfit are in pole position to get his signing done and Barca are not even an option.

So, if reports are to be believed then Man United fans should get excited because this transfer could be completed.

In Spain, Sport have claimed that Dutch club do not want to sell their prized asset for a fee lower than 55 million euros (£49million).

Van de Beek was a key member of the Ajax side that won the domestic double and reached the semi finals of the Champions League in the 2018-19 campaign under the management of Erik ten Hag. The Netherlands attacking midfielder, who can also play effectively in the central midfield, directly contributed in 30 goals. He scored away from home in the CL against Juventus and Tottenham.

In the 2019-20 season marred by COVID-19, the 9-capped international scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 37 appearances for Ajax. Would he play the next season at Old Trafford? Only time will tell. For the latest updates, watch this space.

  1. It will never happen as long as Woodward is with Man Utd. He and Glazer will not sign any body during this season causing MU fans worry about the team. I appeal to both of them to avoid earning in the name of the club and do other business other than foot ball.

  2. Man utd need another CEO if not there will be nothing like big trophys in the club woodward is a business man, he have nothing concerning football the man instead of completing one or two transfer deal, every day will be another transfer talk so woodward out.

  3. Glazer’s and Woodward why? What joy do you seek in seeing this team turn into shambles, you lack vision for these club. And i blame the UK fans for not going on banner hunt chanting for change. Don’t pay for tickets don’t buy the jerseys. Change will happen. I’m sorry fellow fans but I feel this is an option we can try for this greedy owners. We are the ones that feel the pain if these club goes drain. Looks at other teams are strengthen, my club chooses to always feed me with rumours daily. Lower team don’t fear our name again. It’s written every where even in Bible money answereth all things. You can’t expect the glory days to be back without signing good and standardized players. Sign hungry and passionate players who can fight for the batch who are willing to make themselves known to the world, not a wire player who comes to United to come and have his own share of the cake. Secondly De gea I will say I’m a bit disappointed in you not because of your performance but because you lack leadership spirit. You are older than the whole squad. You have played with legends you know how to they speak when things are going wrong but you choose to be mute and be a nice guy. I’m not dragging you. But I feel you should have done more. And to you OLE make your approach to matches be strict. I know you have a smiling face but try to look at the mirror and learn how to frown and be strict. Some players don’t deserve to wear the shirt. Look at Jose we were all saying he was harsh but his harshness paid off in some matches how will you be paid much and tell me you can’t lay a single ball through for 75 min. And OlE you still kept him on. Don’t bring in championship players for us. Are you scared to talk to a league player. That’s why you need the mirror. We need change, we need hope, we need trophy. Bashing three semi final you still kept Harry as the team captain with his unstable two k-legs greatest chest of all time. Fergie can never do that. Don’t try to act like Uncle nice man OLE this players will ask for ur salary one day. Let’s all fo the right thing to make this club be back to it’s spot. I also have a work to do buy praying, paying and watching our matches.
