The Red Devils have been after Selecao star, Antony, and according to Jorge Nicola, the Ajax winger is close to moving to Man United.
The renowned journalist have claimed that the Premier League side and the Eredivisie champions expect to reach an agreement soon for the transfer of the 22-year-old winger.
Nicola claims that United have moved in with an offer of 45 million euros (£38m) that is expected to be turned down by the Dutch giants and they will ask for more. However, it is only a matter of time before the deal for Antony is secured.
Two days back, Goal.com reported that a fee of £51.2m would be needed to get the deal over the line.
The 9-capped Brazilian missed the last couple of months of the season due to an ankle injury but when fit, his form was brilliant under Ten Hag.
In the UEFA Champions League, the youngster made 7 appearances and directly contributed in 6 goals. In the Dutch Cup, he directly contributed in 4 goals in 3 appearances. On the other hand, in the Eredivisie, the Samba starlet started 21 games and directly contributed in 12 goals (Transfermarkt).
