Manchester United signed Marcos Rojo from Portuguese side Sporting CP when Louis van Gaal was in charge of the club.
The Argentine international is a versatile talent but unfortunately, he has mainly been on the treatment table and reports suggest that he is close to leaving the Old Trafford outfit.
Transfer: Man Utd negotiating to agree terms, £28million fee could get signing done – Face competition
According to the TYC Sports, the South American center half is on the verge of securing Man Utd exit and would become Boca Junior’s first signing of 2021.
The news source have revealed that the 30-year-old will sign a two year deal with Boca with an option to extend it for a further year.
Rojo has made over 100 appearances for Manchester United in all competitions but in the past couple of years, he has mostly spend outside the squad.
In the 2018-19 campaign, the former Primeira Liga star only played 5 games in the Premier League. Last season, he made 3 appearances in the league and as far as this season is concerned, £80,000-a-week star (The Sun) has only featured for 45 minutes in the Premier League 2 for the Red Devils.
The last time he managed to play for full 90 minutes in the PL was way back in October 2019 in a contest vs Liverpool that ended 1-1 at Old Trafford.
Under Solskjaer, the 61-capped international is probably the 5th or 6th choice center half at Old Trafford and therefore, he must leave to play week in week out again.
