Another day, another report linking Manchester United with Norwegian center forward, Erling Braut Haaland, who is expected to leave the club in the summer transfer window.

Head of Football for Bild/Sport Bild, Christian Falk has claimed that the likes of Man Utd and Man City are deeply involved in hiring the striker but the player has been backed to move to Old Trafford because he will fit there perfectly.

The Sky Blues have not replaced Sergio Aguero as yet because Guardiola’s system does not really require an out and out center forward. However, the Red Devils need a natural No.9 in their setup. Falk stated:

“I’ve been talking about City for a while now, and of course, Haaland’s name is always on the agenda. You have to be honest, though, with Pep Guardiola and Haaland, I don’t think he really wants this striker if he can get another one because the system of play is designed differently.

“At United, Haaland fits like a glove, as our experts have said. Everything fits United perfectly.”

Next summer, the former Molde forward can be lured by activating the 75 million euros release clause (£64million) and Rangnick is already pressing to get his signing done (MEN).

In the current campaign, Haaland has started 14 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 24 goals (19 goals and 5 assists) thus far.

It must be remembered that Dortmund will take part in the Europa League after getting eliminated from the Champions League. So, if the 21-year-old striker wants to feature in the Europe’s premier tournament this term, he should move in the January transfer window.
