Another day, another report regarding the future of Saul Niguez, who is heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
Few days back, we covered a report (via The Star) claiming that the Red Devils are prepared to activate the midfielder’s release clause of £135million to get his signing done.
Transfer: Man Utd prepared to move to finally sign £245,000-a-week star – Report
However, the latest update provided by AS is very different. They have stated that the Old Trafford club seem determined to sign Niguez but they would not even come close to paying £135million. Instead, it is mentioned that Man Utd would be ready to offer £71million (80 million euros) to agree his signing.
The well-known Spanish outlet claim that the PL giants think that the Rojiblancos star is at the peak of his game and has what it takes to replace Paul Pogba. On the other hand, the 25-year-old is one of Simeone’s key men and the Argentine boss would not like to lose his prized asset.
The La Roja star is one of the most versatile players around, who can effectively play in multiple defensive and offensive areas.
Naturally, he is a central midfielder, but Simeone has also utilized him in the back line as a left back and even as an attacking midfielder if needed.
Niguez has the ability to maneuver and shoot the ball with both feet and has brilliant dribbling ability as well.
In the current campaign, the 19-capped international has played 37 out of 38 games in all competitions for the La Liga club and scored 4 goals. He was highly impressive in both the legs against Liverpool and helped his team knock the holders out of the Champions League.
It is evident that Man Utd need to strengthen their midfield department, especially, if Pogba once again leaves the club. Do you think that the Red Devils should offer £71million to agree the signing of Saul Niguez?
To me,he is the kind of player United are need of. Go United and get the deal done.
One thing is for sure, Pogba must leave United, the sooner the better. He’s not half as good as he thinks he is, and his “poor me”, I’m injured routine is getting way to old. He needs to shut up and move on. ManU does not need the overhyped baby who, in my mind, does not want to play for United anyway.
Also, he needs to pay back United for all the money he’s got for laying around while faking his injury. What a big cry baby.
