DOF in separate talks to sign £68.7million forward for Man United – Report

Randal Kolo Muani - Frankfurt

Manchester United are linked with more than a few top quality forwards and one of them is Randal Kolo Muani.

The Athletic have taken a look at the several strikers on the radar at Old Trafford and report that Man Utd are in “separate” talks to sign the French international from Frankfurt.

The renowned news source have mentioned that DOF, John Murtough, has been in contact with the German Bundesliga club, who want around £68.7million (80 million euros) for their prized asset.

Kolo Muani was in sensational form in the recently concluded campaign. The speedy forward started 43 games in all competitions and directly contributed in 40 goals (23 goals and 17 assists).

He netted 15 goals in the league season, only a goal less than leaders, Christopher Nkunku and Niclas Fullkrug.

The 24-year-old star is a versatile talent, who can effectively play as an out and out center forward and even as a right winger if needed.

He made three appearances at the FIFA World Cup last year. Scored a goal in the semi final vs Morocco and won a penalty for France in the final vs Argentina.

Kolo Muani even scored from the spot kick during the penalty shoot-out but it was not enough from stopping the La Albiceleste from winning the trophy.

Erik ten Hag seriously lacks firepower in the striking department and must sign a proven quality finisher in the current transfer window.

In your view, who should Man Utd sign to strengthen the frontline? Should they bid £68.7million for Randal Kolo Muani?
