Earlier in the day, Inter Milan confirmed on their website that the former Arsenal star has secured a deal that will keep him at the club until 2023.
As per The Mail, the South American attacker used to earn around £560,000-a-week at Old Trafford. However, he has now taken a huge pay cut by agreeing terms worth £20million that will make him earn just £130,000-a-week for the next three years with the Nerazzurri.
Sanchez was a superstar at the Emirates under the management of Arsene Wenger. However, he turned out to be a huge flop at Old Trafford.
In 45 appearances for the 20-time English champions, the former Barcelona star only managed to score 5 goals. In the 2018-19 season, he made 20 Premier League appearances and found the net just once.
For Inter Milan, in the 2019-20 Serie A campaign, Alexis started 10 games under former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and directly contributed in 13 goals (4 goals and 9 assists).
Last night, the Italian giants booked their place in the quarter finals of the Europa League after beating Getafe 2-0. The Chilean star featured for 20 minutes in the contest against the Spanish side.
Sanchez was arguably the worst owner of the No.7 Manchester United shirt. Now that the iconic number is vacant, Solskjaer should sign a world class star to wear it next season.
