Eager Man United plot move to sign £81.5million star – Face competition

Koulibaly and Skriniar

Last night, Manchester United dominated the contest against Sevilla in the Europa League. Still, the Red Devils ended up losing the semi final and ended their season trophy-less.

The Spanish side only had 3 shots on target and they managed to score 2 goals mainly because our back-line was sleeping, especially during the second goal.

Transfer: Man United have agreed fee to secure £10.8million signing – Report

Our two central defenders, Harry Maguire and Victor Lindelof were just ball watching and Wan-Bissaka decided to stop marking De Jong, who easily slotted the ball in the net from 6 yards.

Star playmaker Bruno Fernandes, who scored our only goal of the game, was absolutely furious and had a heated argument with Lindelof. The damage was already done.

If it was not obvious before, last night, it became evident that we need to strengthen our back-line this summer to challenge the best of teams in the next campaign.

According to an exclusive story covered by 90min, Man United are eager to offload center backs like Jones, Smalling and Rojo to fund the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

It is stated that the Naples based side could sell the Senegalese superstar this summer and Man Utd are plotting a move to partner him up with Maguire in the central defense at Old Trafford.

However, the Red Devils face competition from neighbors and rivals Manchester City. 90min claim that the Sky Blues are already in talks to lure the African star, who made it into the Serie A Team of the Year in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

The two time Senegalese Player of the Year is one of the best defenders in the world and therefore, he is going to cost a lot despite the fact that he will turn 30 in less than a year.

Napoli president, De Laurentiis, wants 90 million euros (£81.5million) from his sale (Sky Italia via Goal). In your view, should Man Utd meet the asking price to secure his signing?

  1. Woodward will put leg on some player and another leg some where else: but he never sign anyone favouring other premiere league teams. Even the holder Liverpool have made 2 signings besides Chelsea and man City 2 valuable signings each. MU fans like us only have to bother our team is not good enough to win trophies
