Transfer: Man Utd prepared to agree £290,000 a week+ terms to sign star – Report
The Spanish news outlet have revealed that thus far, the Catalan giants have not received any other offer apart from the one made by the Red Devils.
It is stated that the Spanish side have informed the 25-year-old star he has to leave this summer, however, the player continues to say that he has “no news” and is currently at the “biggest club in the world”
The Blaugrana paid 75 million euros (plus 11 million euros add-ons) to sign the midfielder from Ajax and he is one of the highest earners at the club. A Barcelona source has claimed:
“If we don’t transfer him (De Jong) for more than 70 million euros (£59.7million), the operation is not going to be favorable”
Due to the current economic situation, the Nou Camp outfit are under pressure to sell and that can work in favor of Man Utd. El Pais report that Erik ten Hag has personally called De Jong to convince him to move to Old Trafford.
Will the Dutch coach be able to reunite with his compatriot? We shall see.
