Reports in the Italian media are heavily linking Sergio Milinkovic-Savic with Manchester United, who desperately need to strengthen their midfield.
Few days back, Corriere dello Sport reported that the Red Devils are favorites to hire the services of the Serbian international in the summer transfer window.
Transfer: Man Utd ready to pay over £89million to sign versatile star – Report
More recently, La Repubblica (via Lazio News 24) have claimed that the Old Trafford outfit would have already made an offer of around 60 million euros and now, they are readying a bid worth 70 million euros to sign the midfielder from Lazio.
It is stated that the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus want to lure the 27-year-old as well but their offers are low and therefore, it is likely that the player will move abroad.
As far as the asking price is concerned, last week, La Gazzetta Dello Sport covered a story and stated that Lazio want at least 80 million euros (£66.7million) from the sale of the former Genk player.
Milinkovic-Savic is naturally a creative central midfielder but he can also play in the deep-lying playmaker’s role and even as an attacking midfielder if required.
In the current season, so far, the Serbian star has scored 9 goals and provided as many assists in 31 Serie A appearances under Maurizio Sarri.
For now, our priority should be to finalize the perfect manager for the job but without a doubt, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic would be a top midfield addition if somehow we can get his signing done. What do you think?
