As per recent reports going in the Italian media, Manchester United are seriously interested in signing Cristian Romero, who had a fantastic season for Atalanta, on loan with Juventus.

Few days back, Corriere Della Sera reported that the Old Trafford outfit are favorites to sign the Argentine star. The Italian outlet reported that Le Dea would make his loan move permanent and then sell him to earn profit.

More recently, Tutto Sport have revealed that Man Utd have moved in with an offer of 45 million euros (£39million) to hire the services of the 23-year-old CB. However, the offer is not going to be enough and

The renowned source have claimed that it would take a fee of 60 million euros (£52million) to lure the South American star from the Serie A side.

So, Man Utd would have to add £13million more to their initial offer in order to get his signing done. The question is, should the Red Devils increase their bid?

Cristian Romero was voted as the Serie A defender of the year for top displays in the recently concluded campaign.

That is a massive achievement for the youngster keeping in view that there are a host of world class defenders in the Italian leauge e.g Koulibaly, Chiellini, Bonucci etc.

Moreover, the former Belgrano player was also productive in the offense as he directly contributed in eight goals in all competitions for Atalanta.
