As per reports in Italy, Dumfries is prepared to finally agree a move to Man Utd after failing to agree a new contract with Inter Milan.
The Dutch international has been heavily linked with the Red Devils, who can now sign him for a discount.
Transfer: Man Utd have ‘already made moves’ to sign £51m-£60m star, club fear advances – Report
Back in November last year, the Nerazzurri were demanding a fee of 50 million euros for the fullback.
However, now, according to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, after a contract stand-off with the defender, the fee has been lowered to around 25-30 million euros (£25.7m).
The news source have mentioned that Dumfries would like to move to Man Utd and the possibility would be real if Ten Hag does end up staying at the club this summer.
His current contract at the San Siro will expire in the summer next year and Inter have so far failed to meet his salary demands of 5 million euros a year.
If there is be no agreement then the player will be allowed to leave for £25.7m, which should be considered a bargain in today’s inflated market.
The 28-year-old is not only a solid defender but also productive in the attacking third. Overall, he has netted 10 goals and provided 20 assists for Inter Milan in all competitions.
This term, he was a regular starter in the first half of the campaign but has mainly been a bench warmer in the second half.
So far, he has started 18 games in the Scudetto winning campaign and directly contributed in 9 goals.
In your view, should Man Utd move in and pay £25.7m to finally sign Denzel Dumfries?
