News: Florentino Perez furious with Jose Mourinho over David de Gea transfer saga

Real Madrid’s president Florentino Perez is not happy with Mourinho’s transfer dealings involving David de Gea’s proposed move to Santiago Bernabeu.

The two had a good relationship during Mourinho’s stay at Real Madrid, but Perez is angry with the “Special One” and his stubbornness over De Gea’s transfer. Real tried to sign De Gea back in 2015, but the deal collapsed at the last minute, and now they are again keen to bring the Spanish No. 1 to Santiago Bernabeu.

Real offered £60 million for the 26-year-old, but Mourinho rejected it and is determined to keep De Gea at Old Trafford and even responded with a counter offer, asking for Toni Kroos in return. That proposal really infuriated Perez, who is not impressed with Jose’s pursuit of the German midfielder, who is unavailable for transfer.

In that way, Mourinho sent the clear message to Real Madrid and Perez that he is not interested in selling his best players, and was even reported that United lodged a bid for the 27-year-old Kroos, along with Juventus’ and Inter’s bids.

Earlier this summer, Real played hardball on Alvaro Morata’s move to Old Trafford after they asked £80 million for the Spanish forward, the sum Mourinho wasn’t prepared to pay, so he turned to Romelu Lukaku instead.
