From Italy – £51.6million star has agreed contract to join Manchester United

Another day, another story on the future of Raphael Varane. This time, the early update in the morning is (not from Spain) from Italy.

Real Madrid have unveiled new signing David Alaba. According to Corriere dello Sport (press image provided below), the Austrian international will (obviously) not be partnering Ramos (who left for PSG) in the central defense and it is highly likely that he will not have Varane by his side either.

Transfer: Man United made huge bid to sign £255,000-a-week playmaker – Report

The former Bayern Munich star stated that he would love play with the French international at the Bernabeu but the Italian source have mentioned that the Los Blancos star is on the verge of signing for Manchester United

CdS claim that the 28-year-old Les Bleus player has agreed a contract to join Man Utd, who could secure a fee agreement worth 50 million euros with the Spanish club to get the deal over the line.

The latest update in the Spanish media was provided by El Confidencial yesterday. The news outlet reported that Madrid president, Florentino Perez, is hoping to get 60 million euros (£51.6million) from the sale of his prized asset.

Varane joined Real Madrid in 2011 when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club and in the last decade, he has won no fewer than 18 major trophies with the La Liga giants. It is time for him to face a new challenge.

The former Lens man was a key member of the France national squad that won the World Cup 2018 in Russia under the leadership of Didier Deschamps.

Can Raphael Varane transform the backline at Old Trafford like Virgil Van Dijk has done at Anfield? Only time will tell.
