After trying all summer long, Manchester United were able to complete the signing of Brazilian winger, Antony, on transfer deadline day.
The South American attacker signed a contract worth £200,000 a week with the Red Devils and it will be intriguing to see how Ten Hag will utilize him at Old Trafford.
Antony is predominantly a left-footed player, who prefers to start on the right wing and likes to cut back to dribble and shoot.
The 22-year-old excelled under Ten Hag at Ajax on the right flank and has mainly featured in the position for the senior national side as well. Therefore, it will not come as any surprise to see the big-money signing start in his preferred RW position.
On the other hand, Jadon Sancho can effectively play on either flank. For Borussia Dortmund, he used to score and create goals for fun from both ends and this season, he has been impressive for United.
Against Liverpool, the England international started as a right winger and scored a sublime goal.
Moreover, in the last contest vs Leicester, the former Man City attacker featured on the left flank and netted the winning goal of the game.
With Antony starting on the right, Sancho could regularly play on the left flank under the Dutch coach while Bruno Fernandes would be in the No. 10 role.
Veteran Ronaldo may have to get used to a regular role from the bench as for now, Rashford is Ten Hag’s first-choice center forward.
Here is how Antony will line up at Manchester United:
