Lionel Messi is looking to leave Barcelona and Manchester United are reportedly interested in hiring his services (Sport).
I would be shocked and over the moon if we can somehow bring the Argentine superstar to Old Trafford. The question is, how would Solskjaer line up with £500,000-a-week superstar (Goal)?
Transfer: Man United could finally move to sign £53.7million forward – Face competition
The 33-year-old star can play anywhere in the attacking third. Naturally, he is a right winger but over the years, he has even excelled in the AM and CF roles.
To play in the hole behind the striker, we have got a world class star in the form of Bruno Fernandes. The Portuguese international must continue to play in the No. 10 role next season due to his world class ability to find the killer ball.
Even if Messi moves to OT, I’d still like the Seleccao star to be our main penalty taker due to his flawless record.
On the left wing, we have Marcus Rashford, who was arguably our best player in the last campaign. Therefore, he should not be touched.
Our weakest link in the attack is the right side. Daniel James proved to be highly average in his debut campaign. Greenwood did brilliantly well but the youngster still needs to learn and it would be a massive opportunity for him to learn from Messi, who directly contributed in 57 goals in just 44 appearances for Barcelona last term
Ideally, I’d like Ole to sign a natural out and out striker as well because Martial is naturally a winger. Still, to have Messi, Fernandes and Rashford behind the Frenchman would be mouth watering as well.
