Manchester United have had a blockbuster transfer window bringing in as many as five players – Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui and Manuel Ugarte.
The club has spent a combined £220.4m on these signings, without including add-ons.

Factor in the add-ons and this fee can go much higher. Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS in their first summer since taking up part-ownership of the club have backed Erik ten Hag immensely by spending the money and giving him a competitive squad to work with.
Although it is highly unlikely for Erik ten Hag to field all five of his new signings in the first XI this season at least, we thought it would be a nice exercise to see how the Manchester United line-up looks when you factor in all these transfers.
Andre Onana is certain to start in goal. The Cameroonian shot-stopper will be hoping to have a more consistent season than he did last time and that starts now. In front of him, the back four will have three new signings.
Noussair Mazraoui will start as the right-back with Matthijs de Ligt and Leny Yoro making up the central defence. Old warhorse Luke Shaw will continue at left-back. The English veteran continues to be one of the best in his position when fit.
Manuel Ugarte will take Casemiro’s place in midfield and partner Kobbie Mainoo. The former will operate more as a ball-winner while the latter is tasked with moving forward and combining with the players ahead of him.
Bruno Fernandes is nailed in for the #10 role. Marcus Rashford will start from the left and it currently looks like Amad Diallo is ahead of Alejandro Garnacho in the pecking order on the right. New signing Joshua Zirkzee will round off the XI by playing as the number nine.
On paper, this team looks much stronger than what Ten Hag used for much of last season but a lot will depend on how the new signings settle in and what kind of impact they can have. Here is how Manchester United will lineup with their £220.4million worth signings:
