The Italian journalist told on his Youtube channel:

“Amrabat wants to go. Amrabat wants to leave and Amrabat wants to play for Manchester United. He said YES to United already.”

A few minutes ago, Sacha Tavolieri stated that mediators taking care of the negotiations for the transfer of the African star are currently in the UK to discuss the deal with the Old Trafford club.

The Belgian journalist tweeted:

“Intermediaries involved inside Sofiane Amrabat’s deal are currently in England to handle talks with the Red Devils. This matter is expected to evolve in the coming days”

Earlier in the day, we covered a story via Il Messaggero claiming that United have submitted an offer to Fiorentina but 10 million euros below the asking price of 35 million euros (£30m).

Erik ten Hag has already signed one former player this summer by hiring the services of Andre Onana from Inter Milan. The Cameroonian international was brilliant under the Dutch boss at Ajax.

Now, Amrabat, who played for the current Man Utd head coach at Utrecht, could also reunite with the 53-year-old manager.

The 26-year-old was arguably the best midfielder at the FIFA World Cup as he helped the Atlas Lions become the first African nation to reach the semi finals.

His arrival will surely strengthen the quality and depth of the defensive midfield position at Old Trafford.
