It’s been a few days since Ruben Amorim took over as Manchester United manager. He has been using this international break as a mini pre-season to try and instil his ideas but doesn’t have all his players in the squad available.
Erik ten Hag’s aim at Manchester United, in his own words, was to build the best transitional team in the world.

One would assume that Ruben Amorim would want his team to keep possession and control games, unlike how it was under the Dutch coach.
Thus, it could take some time for the squad to get used to Amorim’s principles. The 39-year-old tactician might also want to bring in players who he thinks would suit his system. Now, as per Gerardo Fasano (via Area Napoli), Man Utd could make a shock offer to sign Victor Osimhen.
Osimhen is still on Napoli’s books but having fallen out of favour with the club, he is currently on loan at Galatasaray. Unsurprisingly, he has been scoring goals for fun and a big European club could make a transfer for him in January.
Osimhen currently earns around £160,000 a week, the journalist has now claimed that Man Utd want to sign the 25-year-old and could shockingly offer Joshua Zirkzee to Napoli in return. He said:
“Manchester United are said to be on the trail of Victor Osimhen . I have been told that the English, through mister Amorim, could include the former Bologna striker Zirkzee in the negotiations for Osimhen.”
The transfer links are surprising because Zirkzee was just signed for the club back in the summer, after an explosive season with Bologna in the Serie A. Manchester United should be trusting him and giving him more time to perform.
It is safe to say that signing Osimhen would be a coup for Man Utd, however, it should not come at the expense of Zirkzee leaving the club. Let’s wait and see how the future plays out for the Nigerian going forward.
