Technical director, Cristiano Giuntoli, and head coach, Thiago Motta, admire the former Dortmund winger but his market value of 50 million euros, £42.3m, is an obstacle.

The Bianconeri are also thinking about loaning him out but Man Utd, who loaned him to BvB last season, are looking to sell him on a permanent basis.

In such a scenario, a ‘wild card’ exchange option with Chiesa has come into the lime light.

The Italian international’s current contract with the Turin side will expire in the summer of 2025 and the new manager, does not consider him an important member of the squad.

CT claim Motta is prepared to sell the former Fiorentina man, who arrived for 60 million euros, for a minimum fee of 30 million euros, £25.4m.

The Azzurri playmaker was one of the best players for his nation when they won the Euro 2020. However, at Euro 2024, he proved to be a flop.

The 26-year-old disappointed and ended the competition with zero goals in 265 minutes on the pitch, spread over the four appearances.

In your opinion, should Man Utd sell Sancho to sign Chiesa?

  1. It will make a change from buying Dutchmen. Why don’t we build a New Trafford in Holland it will save bringing all the Dutch players to Old Trafford.
