Liverpool prepare bid for signing as Man Utd’s firm offer is not good enough – Report

Old-Trafford

Liverpool and Manchester United have been looking to improve things in the center of the park. The Red Devils have secured a deal for Casemiro but we need to further strengthen the department.

Recent reports have indicated that the Old Trafford outfit are interested in hiring the services of Brighton starlet, Moises Caicedo.

As per South American source Studio Football, Man United made a firm offer to sign the 20-year-old from the Seagulls.

However, the player does not feel like joining the 20-time English champions, who have been struggling for over a year.

The news outlet claim that Liverpool are looking to sign the Ecuadorian international and are preparing a bid worth 50 million euros to secure his signature.

Even after selling one of the most important midfielders in the form of Yves Bissouma, Brighton are performing brilliantly in the Premier League and Caicedo has arguably been their best player.

He was brilliant in the victories over United last season and even this season (opening game). In the second league game against the Magpies, the 23-capped international was strong in the defensive midfield role.

Moreover, yesterday, versus West Ham United, he won the midfield battle against highly rated, Declan Rice, and was practically running the show in the center. The former Independiente player was winning the ball and consistently moved it forward.

Casemiro is a world-class star but we only moved to sign him because De Jong has consistently refused to move to Old Trafford. The Brazilian international will turn 31 next year and could only be a short-term fix like Matic was.

We need a young and energetic midfielder to serve the club in the long run and Caicedo has been top quality.
