£30million man close to Man Utd move, rejects new deal at current club – Report

Old Trafford

Andriy Lunin is close to Man Utd move after rejecting a new contract proposal to stay with Real Madrid, as per reports in Spain.

Last month, we covered a story stating that the Red Devils have offered a huge deal to lure the La Liga star from the Los Blancos.

Transfer – Report – Barca ready to sell attacker to Man Utd for £51.2million

This month, Spanish source, Todo Fichajes, have revealed Lunin has turned down a new deal tabled by the Los Blancos and he is advancing to join Man Utd.

It is claimed that the 20-time English champions have made an irrefutable proposal to the player’s agent and now all they have to do is agree a fee with Real Madrid.

The 25-year-old, whose current deal at the Bernabeu will expire in 2025, is valued at around £30million (35 million euros).

Last summer, United allowed Golden Glove winner, De Gea, to leave the club on a Bosman after he kept 17 clean sheets in the Premier League and conceded just 43 goals.

Ten Hag then lured Andre Onana, who has only kept 8 clean sheets in the PL this term and has already let in 51 goals in 34 games thus far.

The Cameroonian has proved to be a step in the wrong direction for Man Utd, who must sign a quality shot stopper for the new campaign.

Lunin has been top class for Real Madrid in the absence of former Chelsea goalie, Courtois.

The Belgian returned to the squad in the last game against Bayern Munich during the week and earlier in the day, he started in the La Liga vs Cadiz.

So, Lunin should leave for regular first team action and Man Utd are ready to hand him that chance.
