The media outlet have mentioned that the La Liga star has rejected a new proposal tabled by the Los Blancos and has pointed towards Old Trafford.
United’s would have put in an offer much higher than the one proposed by the Spanish leaders.
Moreover, the Red Devils are even prepared to make Lunin the leading goal keeper in the team in place of Andre Onana.
It is stated that Madrid are aware of the situation and would now look to ask the maximum price for the player, who will be out of contract next year.
Lunin joined the European giants in 2018, since then, he has mainly been a bench warmer and has only made 45 senior appearances for the club
Courtois is the first choice shot stopper at the Bernabeu and after he suffered an injury at the start of the campaign and was replaced by Kepa.
Since November last year, Lunin has been preferred by Ancelotti but the Ukrainian is aware he will move to the bench again once Courtois is fit.
Therefore, he does not want to continue in the shadow of the Belgian goalie and wishes to leave. The 25-year-old has kept 10 clean sheets in 20 league starts so far this term.
