The 23-year-old attacker was absolutely fantastic in the last campaign and deservedly won the Dutch Footballer of the Year award.
In all competitions, the Oranje star scored 21 goals and provided 15 assists last term. On the other hand, he has been brilliant in the current campaign as well.
Thus far, the 7-capped international has featured in 12 games for the Eredivisie giants and directly contributed in 15 goals (9 goals and 6 assists).
Gakpo has mainly excelled on the left flank and at the moment, the first choice left winger is big money signing, Jadon Sancho, who has been in top form this season. The England international scored the opening goal of the game against Sheriff last night.
On the other hand, the likes of Elanga, Rashford and even Martial can play on the left wing. Therefore, the Old Trafford outfit have ample quality and depth in the position.
In all fairness, Ten Hag should sign a proven out and out striker to improve the squad in the next transfer window. What do you think?
