Transfer: £400,000-a-week midfielder offered to Manchester United – Decision made

Back in June, Corriere dello Sport reported that Man Utd are prepared to agree a deal worth 20 million euros per season (around £330,000-a-week) to re-sign the former Real Madrid man.

Now, former Old Trafford star, Lee Sharpe has backed the club to finally bring back Ronaldo. The 50-year-old stated (The Mirror):

“I think signing Ronaldo will be the icing on the cake. I think if he was to come back as the no.9, he would be phenomenal. I wouldn’t have thought he’d come back but then again, I wouldn’t be surprised if he did. I think he’s got such a connection with the club.”

“He would be phenomenal, not just on the pitch but in the dressing room, for the players and the young players around him. I think he would give people that edge of what it takes to win, what it takes to be a great player.”

Even at the age of 36, the 179-capped international is performing at the highest level. He was named the Serie A Attacker of the Season last term after scoring 29 goals in 31 starts for the Bianconeri.

Moreover, at the European Championships for Portugal, he scored 5 goals in 4 appearances (1 assist) to win the Golden Boot award.

Do you think Man Utd should move to secure his signing this summer?
