Raphael Varane’s future at Real Madrid has been up in the air for quite some time and the latest reports indicate that now Man Utd are clear to agree his signing this summer.
According to Manchester Evening News, the Red Devils have a free run to hire the services of the French international as Real Madrid are ready to offload him in the next transfer window.
The renowned outlet have mentioned that some clubs are prepared to wait for next year in order to sign the Les Bleus star on a bosman. However, the Los Blancos would never want that and therefore, they will push to sell him this summer.
Earlier this month, ABC revealed that the Old Trafford outfit have already made contact to lure the 27-year-old star, who could leave the La Liga champions for a fee of 70 million euros (£61million).
Last week, the Spanish source also reported that Varane is tempted to sign for Manchester United.
Solskjaer is looking to lure a center back in the summer and in all fairness, there is no one available who is as good as Varane. The Frenchman has won every major domestic, European and continental trophy multiple times with Real Madrid.
Moreover, he won the World Cup back in 2018 under the guidance of Didier Deschamps. The former Lens man has played over 350 games for the Spanish giants, who are the greatest club in the continent.
So, Varane definitely has the quality and experience to improve any backline in the world and if Solskjaer can agree his signing then it would be a massive achievement for Man Utd. Have your say – Should Ole splash £61million to get the signing done?
