Last summer, Manchester United splashed the cash to sign Brazilian left back Alex Telles from Primeira Liga side FC Porto.
The Samba star proved his worth in Porugalo but unfortunately, he has mainly warmed the bench at Old Trafford under the management of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Transfer: Report – Man Utd submit offer to sign £100,000-a-week star
According to reports going on in the media, the South American defender may want to leave the club in the next transfer window and Juventus are interested in signing him.
As per Calcio Mercato, Man Utd could strike up a swap deal to sign Adrien Rabiot from the Old Lady in exchange of Telles.
The Italian source have claimed that the 28-year-old left back has got an Italian passport and he has been on Juve’s radar for some time. It is stated that the relations between the Serie A champions and Man Utd are great and a swap deal could be reached.
Ole has not strengthened his central midfield since becoming the manager of the club. Rabiot is a versatile talent, who can effectively play anywhere in the midfield. This season, the £117,000-a-week player (Calcio Mercato) has featured in 40 games in all competitions for the Bianconeri, scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists.
The 26-year-old moved to Juventus after winning every major domestic prize with PSG (multiple times) and last season, he was a key member of Sarri’s squad that won the Scudetto. Thus far, the French star has made 14 appearances for the senior national side.
As far as Telles is concerned, he has only started 6 games in the Premier League this term, moreover, he has not started a single league game since January this year. So, it is not surprising that he is linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
In your view, should Man Utd strike up a swap deal to sign Adrien Rabiot in the summer transfer window?
