Manchester United have been linked with Porto star Eder Militao, who has a release clause of £45million (Correio da Manhã) in this winter transfer window and the latest reports do not seem so positive.
According to The Mail, United are going to compete with Real Madrid to sign the Brazilian center half in the summer transfer window.
In my opinion, United should sign the Samba starlet immediately and I think a lot of other Man United supporters would want the club to sign the top quality defender this month.

We have seen how fragile our defense has been in the current campaign. Under Mourinho, the back-line regularly conceded multiple goals week in week out.
Things have changed under Solskjaer, mainly because the team is winning, but it is still evident that our defense needs to be reinforced.
So far, we have mostly faced weaker oppositions and scored multiple goals against them to earn all three points.
Our most difficult game was against London giants Spurs and although we passed the test without conceding a goal, the north Londoners cut our defense apart with ease on numerous occasions.
Tottenham had more than a few clear cut opportunities and on another day, they might have scored at least three goals. Fortunately, our Spanish shot stopper, David De Gea, was at his insane best and made 11 saves to single-handedly keep a clean sheet for the team.
Yesterday, against Brighton, out of nothing, the visitors scored against us. Propper’s hopeful cross found Gross, who scored from close range as United’s defense was sleeping and there was nothing De Gea could do to save the team from conceding this time around.
The PL fixtures are going to get tough in the coming months and we do have to face PSG in the Champions League next month. The French giants netted 9 goals against Guingamp yesterday and I would not be confident of progressing if our current crop of defenders face the likes of Neymar, Cavani and Mbappe.
Militao is just 21 but already he has shown the leadership skills of a mature center half. The South American defender has been impressive in the league and also in the Champions League for the Portuguese giants this season. He has what it takes to organize our back-line and Solskjaer must move to secure his signing this month.
