Transfer: Man Utd in prime position to sign £40million player – Report
Cavani has mostly been unavailable and in all fairness, we need a young center forward to serve the club in the long run. If reports in the media are anything to go by then Man United are hell-bent to secure the signing of Darwin Nunez from Benfica.
According to a report covered by Record, the Red Devils are intent on luring the 22-year-old center forward, who is the leading goal scorer in the Liga Nos.
The Portuguese source have stated that United are firmly in the race, they are not giving up on Nunez and want him to refresh the attack for the next capmpaign.
The Uruguayan international’s current deal with the Eagles will expire in 2025 and it is stated that he would cost around 100 million euros (£85.5million).
Nunez has netted 34 goals in all competitions this term and his form in the Champions League was absolutely fantastic.
The 8-capped international found the net against European giants like Barca, Bayern, Ajax and finalists Liverpool. He deserves to play in a CL club and unfortunately, Man Utd will not be taking part in the competition next season.
Do you think that we can secure the signing of Nunez without CL football?
