Manchester United have been linked with Dutch international and Inter Milan star, Denzel Dumfries, for quite some time and the latest reports are intriguing.
According to Tutto Mercato Web, Man United have intensified contact to sign the Serie A star, who mainly plays as a right sided midfielder/defender.
The Italian media source have mentioned that the Red Devils are yet to make an official offer for the player, who is also on the radar of Chelsea.
It is stated that Simone Inzaghi’s side would sell Dumfries if a decent offer arrives and they want the bidding to start from 40 million euros.
Last week, La Gazzetta Dello Sport revealed the Nerazzurri value the Netherlands star at 60 million euros (£53.2million).
The former PSV Eindhoven player was a key member of the Inter squad last season and even started regularly in the first half of the current campaign.
He also impressed at the World Cup for the national side. However, since returning from Qatar, the 26-year-old has mainly been a benchwarmer at the San Siro.
The Dutchman featured for just 14 minutes against Napoli in the Serie A, 10 minutes versus Monza and was an unused substitute at the weekend against Hellas Verona.
Have your say – Should Man Utd make an official offer to sign Denzel Dumfries before the closure of the January transfer window?
