Dusan Vlahovic Serbia Striker

Manchester United have secured a stop-gap loan signing of Wout Weghorst to improve their strike-force but soon, they must sign a permanent striker, who can serve the club in the long run.

As per yesterday’s version of Corriere Torino (news image provided below), Man United are intent on signing Dusan Vlahovic before deadline.

The Italian news source have mentioned that Juventus would like to hold on to the Serbian international until the summer transfer window.

However, clubs in the Premier League like Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal are targeting him for now and not for the future.

It is stated that the Red Devils ‘didn’t let go’ and have continued to follow the player, who is currently out with a groin injury.

Corriere Torino claim Vlahovic’s agent, Darko Ristic is listening to everything with interest, however, an offer of 90 million euros would be needed to convince Juve to sell the forward in the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old goalscorer left Fiorentina to join the Old Lady for £66.6m in the winter window last year. He earns a salary of around 7 million euros per year i.e. £120,000 a week (Sky Sports).

In the last campaign, the young striker scored 29 goals in all competitions and also provided 6 assists. As far as this season is concerned, so far, in 15 appearances for the Bianconeri, he has directly contributed in 9 goals (7 goals and 2 assists).

The 19-capped international only started a single game at the FIFA World Cup in Qatar and found the net in the 3-2 defeat against Switzerland.

In your opinion, is Dusan Vlahovic good enough to replace Ronaldo at Old Trafford? Should Man Utd pay 90 million euros to secure his signature before deadline?
